Owner

Roger Matson began his career in the waterproofing industry in 1984 at the age of 14, working for his father’s foundation repair and waterproofing business. Over the years he gained valuable experience with concrete repair and waterproofing techniques and was able to put that knowledge to use in all areas of the company, from repair technician to sales and marketing, eventually becoming vice president of the company. He learned that treating people fairly and finding ways to save his customers money would result in repeat business and strong customer referrals.

In 2001, Roger relocated to Tampa, Florida and began work in the areas of historical and structural restoration, managing large-scale restoration and waterproofing projects worth as much as $2.5 million. He added to his skill set through hands-on experience in the areas of carbon-fiber strengthening, cathodic protection systems, building envelope repair, re-cladding systems, deck coating, expansion joint repair and installation, caulking, window glazing, stucco, and masonry restoration.

Roger returned to the Chicagoland area in 2010 and went to work as a structural consultant for an engineering firm, where he was able to put his knowledge to use performing inspections, generating reports, writing repair specifications, overseeing repair drawings and plans, performing construction oversight, producing marketing presentations and assisting customers with contractor selection.

Roger created Matson Waterproofing Solutions, LLC in early 2014 with the goal of helping his customers find the most effective solutions for their waterproofing needs, no matter what size the project. (Bok Tower Restoration, Lake Wales Florida with RestoCon Corporation >)
